MechConcepts.tech (https://mechconcepts.tech) treats your privacy as an integral part of reader trust — not a compliance checkbox. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide Voluntarily
When you use our contact form, subscribe to our email list, or comment on a post, we may collect:

• Your name (as entered)
• Your email address
• The content of your message or comment

We use this solely to reply to your inquiry, deliver mail you opted into, or display your approved comment. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link; clicking it removes you permanently.

b) Automatically Collected Data
Our servers and one trusted analytics partner log standard internet information:

• Anonymized IP address (Google Analytics with anonymizeIp enabled)
• Browser type/version and operating system
• Referring URL, pages viewed, time stamp, and visit duration

This data is processed in aggregate to understand which content helps readers most. We cannot identify you personally from it.

2. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use a minimal set of first-party and analytics cookies:

We do not serve advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers. The analytics data never leaves our Google Analytics property and is never sold.

Managing Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not break the site; we simply won’t count that visit in our aggregate stats. For additional control, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3. Affiliate Disclosure & Third-Party Links

Some pages contain affiliate links to products on Amazon, Banggood, or software vendor sites. If you click one and purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Every page with affiliate links has a clear disclosure at the top or immediately before the first affiliate link.

Affiliate networks (e.g., Amazon Associates) may set their own cookies. We have no access to those cookies, and they are governed by the respective network’s privacy policy.

4. Who We Share Data With

We share the minimum necessary with the following processors, each bound by data protection agreements:

• Email Service Provider — processes your email address solely to deliver messages you requested.
• Google Analytics — processes anonymized, aggregate usage data.
• Web Host — server logs retained for security monitoring and deleted after 30 days.

We do not rent, sell, or trade your personal information. We will disclose data only if required by a valid legal order.

5. Data Retention

• Contact form messages: kept up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Email subscription data: retained until you unsubscribe; then permanently removed within 14 days.
• Analytics: aggregate data kept indefinitely; user-level data deleted automatically by Google after 26 months.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete that data.
• Withdraw consent for email communication at any time.

7. Security

The entire site is served over HTTPS with enforced SSL. Backend access is restricted to a single administrator account protected by two-factor authentication. No online system is 100% secure; you share information at your own risk.

8. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes are announced via a homepage notice banner for 30 days.
